IPM Working Groups

IPM Working Groups are one of the Center's main venues for connecting regional stakeholders around issues of importance to the region. These ad hoc organizations work on a set of issues in a specific IPM setting or crop. They develop or update priority lists, plan multistate grant proposals, conduct outreach campaigns across multiple states, and help the Center with regional networking. Each group has multistate representation, with membership that can include researchers, extension educators, faculty and staff from other colleges and universities (including 1890 land-grant institutions), IPM practitioners, government employees, producers, agricultural consultants, and representatives from grower organizations, environmental groups, consumer groups, or other nongovernmental organizations. The groups extend the Center's network of affiliates in the region, as members are actively concerned with IPM in their settings; they represent the views of stakeholder groups to the Center and pass information from the Center to their own organizations and peers. IPM Working Groups are funded through the Center's IPM Partnership Grants Program.
