NOFA Vermont

Posting Date: May 27, 2010
Closing Date:

NOFA Vermont is seeking an Americorps Sustainable Environment Entrepreneur (SEE) to help us with some critical programs. The Americorps member will work with us on the Vermont Food Education Every Day (VT FEED) program, direct marketing programs (farmers' market and community supported agriculture) and community outreach. The purpose of the position is to expand agricultural awareness and education by developing a community understanding of agriculture, thereby increasing marketing opportunities for farmers.

The goals of the project are to: 1. Enhance student and community understanding of agriculture by using farms as an educational resource; 2. Support the viability of farms by developing community connections to local agriculture; and 3. Improve the diets and eating patterns of school aged children and community health through increased consumption of local food.

Please apply through the Americorps website. If you have any questions, contact Enid Wonnacott at enid@nofavt.org or (802) 434-4122.
